MRM Charts Path For Expansion, Ideological Growth Ahead Of 25th Anniversary

The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) concluded its all-India National Executive Meeting on Monday at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi.

Presided over by senior RSS functionary and MRM’s guiding force Shri Indresh Kumar, the meeting drew national conveners, coordinators, and representatives from various states.

Opening the session, Indresh Kumar delivered an inspiring address, stating that the Manch is not just an organisation but a thought-driven movement committed to social and cultural transformation.

He emphasised that MRM must evolve into a policy-shaping platform rooted in ideology and societal reform.

Throughout the day, members from different state units and cells presented detailed reports on their activities. Indresh Kumar reviewed their contributions attentively and offered strategic advice. He urged volunteers to work without ego or personal ambition and to focus instead on service and national interest.

Importantly, the meeting resolved to expand MRM’s presence to the grassroots.

Village, block, and district-level workers will now receive more authority and leadership roles. “Those who connect with the ground realities and serve honestly will lead,” Indresh Kumar stated.

This move aims to strengthen the organisation’s base and promote leadership development as a long-term investment.

Major Focus on Revamping the Intellectual Cell

A major focus was on revamping the intellectual cell. Indresh Kumar called for a team of scholars, professionals, and social workers to guide the movement’s policy and ideological direction.

He remarked, “No movement sustains without intellectual depth and a vision rooted in dialogue.” This new team will contribute to national discourse and design initiatives for the upliftment of the Muslim community.

However, the cell will remain under MRM’s central leadership.

Looking ahead, the Manch will host two national programmes, one in Jammu & Kashmir and the other in Delhi, during August and September. These events aim to celebrate unity, culture, and intellectualism. Indresh Kumar described them as ‘historic milestones’ and not just public gatherings.

The meeting also addressed global issues, including conflicts in Israel-Palestine, Ukraine, and Iran.

Indresh Kumar reiterated India’s values of peace, non-violence, and dialogue, citing ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ as a reflection of India’s eternal spirit.

He argued that prolonged wars go against Indian philosophy, referencing the 18-day Mahabharata war as an example of conflict with resolution.

Youth engagement was another key topic. Leaders like Dr Shahid Akhtar and Mohammad Afzal stressed involving young people not just as participants but as future thought leaders.

Indresh Kumar affirmed this direction, stating that youth must be guided with ideological clarity and given meaningful roles at all levels.

The meeting saw enthusiastic participation from dozens of senior members, who provided constructive suggestions for better coordination and growth.

Concluding the event, Indresh Kumar announced preparations for MRM’s 25th anniversary. He described it not as a celebration alone but as a reflection of the Manch’s journey and a launchpad for its future. “This milestone marks the start of a new ideological era,” he said.

The session closed with a collective resolution to deepen public engagement, promote dialogue, and prioritise service and nation-building.
