Significant action in Nasir-Junaid murder case

According to news agency, Haryana police arrested Monu Manesar on Tuesday afternoon after spotting him in a local shop’s CCTV footage. It is believed that Haryana police may now transfer him to the custody of Rajasthan police. Rajasthan police has also issued a statement upon receiving information about his arrest. Bharatpur’s SP Mridul Kachhawa spoke to the media about this development.

Police is progressing with its subsequent procedure

SP Mridul Kachhawa of Bharatpur stated, “We have received information that Haryana police has taken Monu Manesar into custody, who is wanted in the Nasir and Junaid (lynching) case. Haryana police is progressing with its subsequent procedure, and our officers are in touch with them. Once their procedure is complete, our district police will begin its process.” Monu Manesar is accused of the murder of Nasir and Junaid in Bhiwani, allegedly by burning them alive.

Violence erupted on July 31 in Nuh

Monu Manesar came into the spotlight in July when he released a video promoting a rally in Nuh. In the video, he encouraged more Hindu followers to participate in the rally. However, he did not attend the rally himself. His video incited anger among members of the Muslim community, leading to widespread violence, including stone-pelting, shootings, and arson, resulting in several casualties. Since then, various Islamic organizations had been demanding the arrest of Monu Manesar.
