Finally met PM Modi with his Russian counterpart President Putin during the SCO Summit 2022. And this meeting is very significant from the perspective of India and Russia as well.
All eyes were on the two global leaders’ meet in the SCO summit 2022. Though there was one more significant presence eco around which went silence. This belonged to the Chinese Premiere but the meet here was so far not a part of the agenda of Indian representation.
While formally conversing with Putin, Modi said softly – ‘‘..It Is not the era of war..’’ and the soft revert from Putin was like – ‘‘I am aware of your concerns’’.
SCO Summit 2022 also witnesses representation from Pakistan, Iran along with several central Asian countries. Shahabaz Sharif Ebrahim Raisi both from Pakistan and Iran were not heard on any significant issue.
As was awaited, Indian Prime Minister held a meeting with the Russian President yesterday on 16 September 2022 on the side-lines of the Samarkand Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.
PM Modi along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping were seen attending the annual summit of the SCO. The summit was also attended by leaders of the other member states of the influential Asian grouping.
Another significant fact will be remembered with this SCO summit that for the first time in the post Corona period, Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi were before each other on the same dais.
