In a heartwarming display of compassion and generosity, Janta MLA Umesh Kumar has extended a heartfelt invitation to all for an upcoming mass marriage (saamoohik vivah) program aimed at providing a new beginning for 151 underprivileged girls. Scheduled for March 4, 2024, this event promises to be a celebration of love, unity, and communal harmony.
Set to take place at Roorkee Kaliyar Marg, Village Mehwar Kalan, Haridwar, the event will commence with a solemn ceremony uniting these deserving brides with their life partners. It’s a gesture that goes beyond mere matrimonial unions; it symbolizes the collective effort towards fostering a more inclusive and supportive community.
Anticipating a large turnout, with approximately 50 thousand guests expected to attend, Umesh Kumar plans to personally shower flowers on the brides during the ceremony. Invitations have been dispatched to ensure the participation of esteemed guests.

Previously, Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar had orchestrated the arrangement of marriages for 121 underprivileged girls. He asserted that among them, 57 girls hailed from the Muslim community, while 64 were of Hindu descent. The marriage ceremonies for the Muslim girls were meticulously arranged in Sarai village, whereas the Hindu girls’ unions took place at Rishikul grounds.
As Umesh Kumar prepares to facilitate the marriage of 151 girls on March 4, he stands as a source of compassion and generosity, exemplifying the values of empathy and altruism within the community.
