Karnataka Congress councillor BK Hariprasad’s recent statement, asserting that the Congress considers Pakistan a neighboring nation rather than an “enemy country” as portrayed by the BJP, has stirred controversy.
In response, the state BJP has accused the Congress of harbouring “anti-national sentiments,” especially following the BJP’s claims of pro-Pakistan slogans being raised after Congress’s Rajya Sabha victory in the state on Tuesday.

In reaction to Hariprasad’s remarks, Rajeshwar Singh, commented, “Nothing surprising; it was this same party that did not take significant action despite the substantial loss of lives on 26/11. No wonder they still perceive Pakistan as their friend, as it is a consequence of their own actions.”
