MCD Polls 2022 Live: Vote Count Witnesses AAP in Majority with 134 gains

MCD Election Results Live : The vote count commenced at 8 in the morning seeing Aam Aadmi Party surging ahead of Bharatiya Janata Party whereas the Congress looks starting at rout.

The vote counting for two hundred and fifty seats of the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) began at 8am today. During the MCD polls held on December 4 a turnout of fifty percent voters was recorded.  The turnout this time is even lower than the last time polls five years ago in 2017.

On one hand the BJP which has been ruling the MCD for last fifteen years since 2007, sought a 4th term, the AAP expected its prediction of more than 230 seats for his party to come true.

The final result showed the AAP win on the MCD ending BJP’s rule in the civic polls of Delhi with gaining 134 seats in toto. On the other hand BJP had to accept defeat with winning only 104 seats with Congress gaining only 9 seats along whereas the independent candidates succeeded victory over 3 seats only.

At 8 am – AAP leading

So far the first official trends in last twenty minutes show the Aam Aadmi Party leading on 105 seats and the BJP is right behind with a lead on  on 95 seats. Congress leading on just 5 is lagging too behind whereas the counting is underway for the two hundred and fifty wards.

At 8.45am – AAP leading

Aam Admi Party has increased its lead to 120 seats whereas BJP to 115 seats and Congress are ahead only in 5 seats.

At 9am -BJP leading

The AAP’s momentum looks no more intact. In accordance with the latest trends, the AAP stands in a neck-to-neck contest with the BJP  and now the BJP candidates are ahead on 136 seats of the AAP which is leading on 110 seats so far. The Congress is leading only on 4 seats.

At 9.15am – BJP leading

BJP is leading on 129 seats while AAP is a distant second with a lead on 114 seats as per the initial trends in the MCD polls. On the other hand, Congress is ahead only 0n 6 seat while others are also seen now in the picture with a lead on just 1 seat.

At 9.30am – BJP widens lead

BJP has widened its lead after surging ahead in 130 seats as compared to AAP’s 114 seats. On the other hand, Congress has secured a lead only in 5 seats while others have just 1 seat with a lead.

At 9.45am –  BJP Breaches Halfway Mark

As per the latest official trends BJP leading on 126 seats, AAP on 118, Congress on 5, Independent on 1.

At 10am -BJP with a 6-seat lead over AAP

As per the trends for all 250 seats, BJP is ahead in 125 seats to AAP which is leading on 119 seats. On the other hand, Congress has taken a lead in only 5 whereas an independent candidate is leading on 1 seat.

At 10.15 am – The BJP-AAP gap narrows

Latest official trends display BJP leading on 117 seats, AAP on 123, Congress on 09 and Independents 1 seats each.

At 10.30 am – AAP surges ahead of BJP

With the counting of votes continues, AAP and BJP winning 5 and 3 seats each, are taking lead on 125 and 115 seats each. Congress is leading on 12 seats whereas Independent 3 seats, BSP and NCP on 1 – 1 seats each.

At 10.45 am -AAP widens gap from BJP

Not going with the AAP landslide prediction by exit polls, the real vote count shows almost a neck-and-neck contest between the AAP and BJP.  As vote count for Delhi civic polls continues for all 250 seats, now the AAP has a lead  125 seat, BJP at 115 and Congress at 09 whereas the others are seen leading on 1 seat.

At 11 am – BJP & AAP win on 14 seats  each

So far, BJP and AAP have won in 14 wards each. Nevertheless, AAP is leading in 127 seats as against 113 seats of BJP. Congress is leading on 09 seats whereas the independent candidates are ahead on 1 seat.

At 11.15 am -Gap widens between AAP and BJP

With the counting of votes continues, currently BJP leads on 109 seats & AAP leads on 127 seats. Congress leading on 11, Independent on 3.

At 11.30 am- The gap further widens up

Victory of the BJP and AAP on 26 and 24 seats; along with Congress winning on 3 seats.As the counting of votes continues now BJP leads on 104 seats & AAP leads on 133 seats, whereas Congress leading on 10 and for the independents the lead is on 3 seats.

At 11.45 am – AAP lead swells

With a victory over 56 and 46 seats the BJP and AAP are sailing closely too far ahead of the Congress which so far has won only 3 seats. At the moment BJP leads on 101 seats and AAP leads on 137 seats, leaving the Congress too far behind with a lead over 09 seats whereas the others are leading on 03 seats.

At 12  – AAP get the reason for celebration

Celebrations start at AAP’s Delhi headquarters as the party has won 75 seats. BJP now leading on 103 seats whereas AAP has a lead over 134 seats. Now with the vote count Congress displays its lead on 09 seats with the Independents lead on 04 seats.

At 12.15 pm – AAP readies for the first MCD win

AAP workers celebrate dancing at the Delhi AAP office while the party looks all set for registering its first-ever MCD victory.  BJP is ahead on 101 seats whereas AAP on 136 and Congress lead on 09 with Independents’ lead on 04 seats.

The final results show AAP winning 82 seats, BJP 62 seats, Congress 4 seats with a 1 seat victory of the Independents.

At 12.30 pm – AAP victory on 92 seats

Winning 92 seats, AAP currently leads on 137 seats whereas BJP winning 72 seats, leads on 100 seats as counting continues. Congress with win on 4 seats, is leading on 10 along with the Independent candidates winning 1 seat leading on 3 seats.

 At 12.30 pm – AAP to record decisive win

As the counting marches on, the BJP shows its lead on 102 seats,  AAP on  135 seats, whereas Congress leading on 10 seats with independents on 3.

At 1 pm – AAP hits century

Winning 106 seats and leading on 132 seats, AAP is far ahead now of BJP with victory over 84 seats, has a lead on 105 seats as counting continues.

At 1.15 pm – AAP stays on lead at the final showdown

AAP won 111 seats and leads on 131, BJP won 91 seats and is leading on 106 seats as counting continues, whereas winning 6 seats, Congress leads on 9 and Independent candidates on 4.

At 2.30 pm – AAP reaches majority finally

After close fight with the BJP, AAP have won on 134 seats whereas BJP won 103 seats. Congress with 10 seats victory, independents won 3 seats. Now final six seats are awaiting their result with the counting on.
