Meanwhile, in a separate incident that occurred on Thursday, a fire broke out at the flat of an elderly woman in South Delhi’s Triloki Colony. According to officials, the fire was initiated by a spark in the air conditioner. They further explained that the 70-year-old’s situation worsened as she was unable to move when the house caught fire due to her fractured hip. However, she was safely shifted to another room that wasn’t engulfed by her son along with a team of police.

The incident was reported at Koltla Mubarakpur Police Station at 7 pm, following which the officials acted swiftly and prevented the situation from causing further damage. A dog was also found unconscious at the site and was later shifted to a Veterinarian Hospital in the Defence Colony area for treatment. Fortunately, there was no loss of life due to the prompt action and commendable coordination of the police, the public, as well as the fire department.
