Maoists Kill Chhattisgarh Security Personnel with Axe in Bijapur

A Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) personnel was fatally attacked by Maoists at a village market in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, on Sunday, according to police reports.

The incident took place around 9:30 am in a village under the jurisdiction of Kutru police station, where a CAF team was stationed for market security, stated a senior official.

“A small group of Maoists targeted company commander Tijau Ram Bhuarya, who was leading the CAF team,” the official stated.

The assailants brutally murdered Bhuarya with an axe before fleeing the scene, confirmed the official.

Bhuarya was a member of the 4th battalion of the CAF, as per reports.

Upon receiving the alert, a police team rushed to the location and initiated a search operation in the vicinity to apprehend the perpetrators, added the official.
