The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is racing against time to complete all preparations for Mahakumbh 2025, the world’s largest religious gathering. With a strong focus on punctuality, all departments have been directed to adhere to their deadlines. CM Yogi is personally overseeing the progress to ensure the event’s smooth execution.
The Public Works Department (PWD) has made remarkable progress, successfully completing 47 out of 89 projects within the Mahakumbh fair area. By November 15, the department aims to finish 10 additional projects, leaving 32 projects to be completed by November 30.

For projects outside the fair area, the department has already delivered 47 out of 83 projects, with 10 more set to finish by mid-November and the remaining 26 by the end of the month.
To enhance connectivity and convenience, key infrastructure projects outside the fair area—such as Airport Road, Rasulabad Ghat Road, and Phaphamau-Sahso Road—are slated for completion by November 30, 2024.
The development of 15 major intersections is also expected to conclude by the same deadline, while the renovation of 92 roads will wrap up by December 10, 2024. Beautification efforts for 17 roads will be finalized by December 15.
– Fair Area Developments: Work on six major projects, valued at ₹1,428.68 crore, is progressing rapidly, with a completion target of November 30, 2024.
– Temporary Infrastructure: Over 2,69,000 checkered plates have been completed, and the construction of 30 pontoon bridges using 3,308 pontoons is underway.
– Road Network: A total of 488 km of temporary roads is being developed to handle the influx of pilgrims.
– Parking and Signage: The development of 148 parking areas has been finished, and 1,500 signages in 12 constitutional languages and 6 UN languages are being installed.
The Yogi-led government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Mahakumbh 2025 is a grand success. With preparations moving at a rapid pace, the event is set to exemplify efficiency, faith, and innovation.
