Maha Kumbh 2025: Shri Panchayati Akhara Maha Nirvani Makes Grand Entry Into Cantonment Area

The Maha Kumbh area continues to witness a procession of devotion and grandeur, with Shri Panchayati Akhara Maha Nirvani making a majestic entry into the cantonment area on January 2, 2025.

Revered as one of the wealthiest and most prominent among the 13 Akharas of Sanatan Dharma, the procession was an awe-inspiring spectacle that left a lasting impression on devotees and spectators alike.

The procession, which began from the Akhara’s local base near Alopi Bagh, was a sight to behold.

Devotees showered flowers upon the saints as they made their way through the city. The Kumbh Mela administration also extended a warm welcome to the revered members of the Akhara.

Divine Chariots Lead Procession

At the forefront of the procession was the chariot of Lord Kapil Ji, the presiding deity of the Akhara, followed closely by the grand chariot of Acharya Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Vishokanand Ji.

The chariots offered a divine spectacle, drawing the attention of the thousands of devotees who lined the streets to witness the procession.

Shri Panchayati Akhara Maha Nirvani is renowned not just for its spiritual leadership but also for its progressive approach to women’s empowerment. The Akhara has long upheld the tradition of inclusivity, and it was the first Akhara to appoint a female Maha Mandaleshwar.

Environmental Awareness During Maha Kumbh 2025

The procession also carried a strong message of environmental sustainability. Various symbols promoting environmental preservation were displayed alongside the spiritual procession, reflecting the Akhara’s commitment to sustainability.

The tableau of the procession featured four women Mandaleshwars, highlighting their important role within the Akhara. The participation of the Veerangana Vahini Sojat added further significance to the event, showcasing the contributions of women to the spiritual and social causes championed by the Akhara.

The Akhara’s procession covered a distance of five kilometres, culminating in the evening with its entry into the cantonment area. This entry marked the culmination of a spiritual and cultural journey that reaffirmed its role as a beacon of empowerment.
