The official Maha Kumbh website, https://kumbh.gov.in/, has become the primary source of information, drawing millions of visitors from across the globe.
As of 4 January, the site had received over 33 lakh visits from 183 countries, reflecting the event’s widespread appeal.
Visitors from regions such as Europe, America, and Africa have shown particular interest.
The website’s technical team confirmed that the platform has attracted 33,05,667 visitors, hailing from 183 countries and 6,206 cities worldwide.
India remains the top source of traffic, followed closely by the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany.
Notably, users are spending significant time exploring the site’s extensive content.
Since its launch, the website has experienced a considerable increase in traffic, with millions now visiting daily as the event approaches. This surge underscores the growing global anticipation for the Maha Kumbh.
In line with its digital approach, the Uttar Pradesh government is promoting the Maha Kumbh as a ‘Digital Maha Kumbh’.
The website, launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Prayagraj on 6 October 2024, serves as a comprehensive guide for devotees. It offers information on Kumbh’s traditions, its spiritual significance, key bathing festivals, and important do’s and don’ts for attendees.
Additionally, the website provides details on travel, accommodation, and the latest updates from Prayagraj, along with a media gallery showcasing the event’s highlights.
This digital initiative aims to enhance the experience for devotees while preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Maha Kumbh.
