Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to discuss preparations for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
During the meeting, CM Yogi extended a formal invitation to PM Modi to attend the spiritual event, set to take place in early 2025.
The Prime Minister’s Office shared details of the meeting on social media platform X, stating, “Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has met with PM Narendra Modi.”
Meanwhile, CM Yogi posted pictures of the meeting on his X account, expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister. He wrote, “I had a courtesy meeting with the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.”
“Under your guidance and inspiration, the Maha Kumbh-2025 in Prayagraj now showcases the divine, grand, and digital form of Sanatan pride to the world, representing the ‘New India.’ Heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister for sparing his valuable time”, the caption read further.
The organizers have scheduled the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 from January 13 to February 26, 2025, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years, is one of the most sacred gatherings in Hinduism.
It is expected to draw millions of pilgrims, starting with the Paush Purnima Snan at the Triveni Sangam. Both CM Yogi and PM Modi have expressed their commitment to ensuring that the event is a grand success, highlighting its significance as a spiritual and cultural landmark.
In addition to his meeting with PM Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath also inaugurated the ‘Maa Ki Rasoi’ (Mother’s Kitchen) at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj on the same day. This initiative, operated by the Nandi Seva Sansthan, aims to provide meals to economically disadvantaged individuals. CM Yogi expressed his satisfaction with the service’s quality, cleanliness, and facilities. He also took the opportunity to serve food to people himself and inspected the kitchen.
