Magnitude 5.5 Earthquake Jolted Ladakh’s Kargil, Tremors Felt In North India, Pakistan

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake jolted the Kargil region of Ladakh on Monday, said the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The seismic event occurred at 3:48 p.m., with recorded coordinates of 33.41 N latitude and 76.70 E longitude, and a depth of 10 km, according to the nation’s nodal central agency for monitoring seismic activity.
There are currently no reports of fatalities or property damage.

Tremors were felt in North India and parts of Pakistan after an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck Ladakh’s Kargil on Monday.
