Mafia Don Bablu Srivastava Refused To appear In Prayagraj Court

Mafia don Bablu Srivastava, is fearing for his life  for his appearance in Prayagraj court from Bareilly jail to testify in the  kidnapping case in the kidnapping of  bullion trader  Pankaj Mahindra refused to come to Prayagraj.This fear is due to the killing of Mafia don Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf.

A report was submitted in court through the jail superintendent and the don  lawyer that his life could be in danger during such a long journey. Therefore, he will be produced   through video conferencing. However, the court’s decision will come by late evening. If the court does not accept the mafia don’s application, he will have to appear in person in the court.

It may be recalled that  mafia don was summoned to the court on Wednesday by the Special Gangster Court in Allahabad District Court to record his statement under Section 313 in the Mahindra kidnapping case.

In this regard   court had directed the District Magistrate Prayagraj,  Commissioner of police and the Superintendent of Bareilly Jail to ensure that Bablu Srivastava should be  produced in the court on Wednesday under any circumstances. But mafia don Bablu Srivastava, lodged in Bareilly jail, refused to come from Bareilly to Prayagraj, saying that he was in danger to his life.

The court of Special Judge of Allahabad Gangster Court Vikas Kumar Srivastava requested for production through video conferencing. The lawyer appearing on his behalf has also requested to conduct his production through video conferencing.

According to prosecution bullion trader  Pankaj Mahindra, who was kidnapped at his behest in 2015, is on trial with special gangster court. The prosecution’s testimony on September 30 was completed on Saturday. Twenty one  witnesses have been presented by the prosecution. After this, the process of recording the statement of the accused has started from October 3. In this connection, the statement of mafia don Bablu Srivastava under section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was to be recorded on Wednesday. On the night of September 5, 2015, a bullion businessman was kidnapped while going home by car after closing his shop. Bullion businessman Pankaj Mahindra had a jewelry shop in Jawahar Square Kotwali area. The miscreants had left his car near the Hanuman temple lying at Bandhwa in Sangam. Rs 10 crore was demanded as ransom. Later, when the police raided a farm house in Fatehpur district at night, the moneylender Pankaj Mahindra was found tied up.

Police had arrested mafia don’s nephew Vikalp Srivastava alias Golu son of Tarun Kumar Srivastava, Gorakhpur resident Mahendra Yadav, Sachchidanand Yadav alias Sachita, Barethi police station Tharwai resident Chandramohan alias Bablu Yadav from the spot. Two 9 mm and 32 bore pistols, 315 bore pistol, Alto car, laptop, mobile, fake SIM card etc. were recovered from them.

According to DGC (Criminal) Gulab Chandra Agrahari,other accused including mafia Bablu Srivastava, his nephew Vikalp Srivastava, Sachchidanand Yadav, Mahendra Yadav, Chandramohan Yadav, Sankalp Srivastava, Sandeep Chaudhary.

Statements of alias Rajesh Kumar, Rakesh Singh, Vineet Parihar, Golu alias Abhishek Yadav and Omprakash Srivastava alias Bablu are to be recorded. For which the court had summoned the mafia don on Wednesday. But citing threat to his life, he has sought permission to appear through video conferencing. The court’s decision on Bablu Srivastava’s application is likely to come by late evening.
