Jammu & Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, expressed strong condemnation on Tuesday regarding the recent attack on security forces in Doda district.
He vowed that the deaths of soldiers at the hands of terrorists would not go unpunished.
In a heartfelt message on X, Sinha expressed his deep anguish over the cowardly attack on Army soldiers and JKP personnel in Doda district. He paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives protecting the nation and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
Sinha emphasized the commitment to avenge the soldiers’ deaths and thwart the malicious intentions of terrorists and their affiliates. He urged the community to come together in the fight against terrorism, calling for accurate information to bolster anti-terror operations and dismantle the terror network.
The ongoing encounter, which began Monday evening, has resulted in the deaths of five security personnel, including four army soldiers and a police officer.
Meanwhile, in the past two months, the Jammu division has witnessed nearly 12 terror attacks, with terrorists employing hit-and-run tactics in the region’s mountainous areas.
In response, security agencies have however ramped up efforts, deploying the army and CRPF to strategic mountain tops to counter these threats.
