Organised under the banner of ‘INDIA Janbandhan’, the event will take place at the Constitution Club and will focus on the alliance’s political roadmap and future priorities.
The gathering comes as the opposition coalition navigates growing differences among its partners.
While DMK has decided not to participate, several Left parties have reportedly conveyed their dissatisfaction regarding recent developments within the alliance.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh announced that 23 political parties had confirmed their attendance. He noted that some allies would miss the meeting but continued to share the alliance’s opposition to the policies of the Central government.
Sources indicated that the meeting was organised after consultations among alliance members, with the All India Trinamool Congress playing a prominent role in pushing for the gathering.
Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee will likely be present at the meeting.
