Setting forth a bold vision for Tamil Nadu’s development in 2024, PM Modi positioned the state as pivotal in shaping the politics of development and heralding a new era of progress for the nation. He underscored Tamil Nadu’s potential to become the epicenter of the politics of development and a catalyst for change in the country, citing the historic significance of the ‘En Man En MakkaL’ march as a testament to the state’s unwavering commitment to progress.
Expressing appreciation for the overwhelming response to the ‘En Man, En MakkaL’ journey, PM Modi commended BJP workers for their dedication to serving society with the ethos of Nation First, while also acknowledging the broad support received from every section of society. He specifically congratulated Annamalai for embodying the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayaas.’
Reflecting on his connection with Tamil Nadu, PM Modi reminisced about his interactions with the state’s rich culture and heritage, emphasizing his commitment to the state’s welfare rooted in genuine empathy and respect. He contrasted the BJP government’s commitment to Tamil Nadu’s development with the lack of priority given by previous administrations, accusing them of neglect and resource disparity.

PM Modi criticized those who had allegedly “looted” Tamil Nadu for decades, accusing them of resorting to falsehoods and divisive tactics to protect their interests in the face of the BJP’s growing strength. He asserted the people of Tamil Nadu’s wisdom and discernment, affirming their continued trust in the BJP.
Highlighting transformative initiatives undertaken by the BJP government, PM Modi reiterated the ‘Modi Guarantee’ for every citizen, promising free grains, smoke-free households, and rural housing. He emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the poor and marginalized through initiatives such as the PLI scheme and Mudra loans, while also noting significant increases in funding for development projects in Tamil Nadu over the past decade.
