Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday praised AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi for boldly calling out Pakistan’s misinformation campaign during a diplomatic outreach event in Kuwait, part of Operation Sindoor.
Rijiju shared a video of Owaisi’s remarks on social media, captioning it in Hindi, ‘Pakistan ki toh poll hi khol di’ (You exposed Pakistan to the core).
Owaisi, who is a member of the Indian all-party delegation, sharply criticised the Pakistani military and leadership for presenting fake visuals to boost their image.
During the event, he said, “It takes brains to copy things properly”, mocking Pakistan’s false claims.
Owaisi exposed a major propaganda blunder by Pakistan, where its Army Chief Asim Munir handed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a memento featuring a photograph supposedly showing a military triumph over India.
Owaisi pointed out that the photo was actually from a 2019 Chinese military drill, not a Pakistani operation.
“Yesterday, the Pakistan Army Chief gave a photo to the Prime Minister in front of the President and the National Assembly Speaker. These stupid jokers want to compete with India. They used a 2019 photo of a Chinese Army drill and claimed it as their victory over India,” Owaisi said.
Owaisi didn’t hold back, referring to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir as ‘stupid jokers’ and accusing them of hiding behind fake mementoes in a desperate face-saving attempt.
He told the audience, “Copying requires brains. These worthless people don’t even have that.”
He emphasised that such misinformation tactics reveal the intellectual bankruptcy of Pakistan’s top leadership.
Owaisi also highlighted another recent incident where Pakistan’s Deputy PM Ishaq Dar used a fake article from a UK daily to praise the Pakistani Air Force. The blunder was later exposed by Pakistani media, further embarrassing the government on the global stage.
Owaisi is currently in Kuwait with an Indian parliamentary delegation under Operation Sindoor, India’s diplomatic initiative to build international consensus against Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
His comments have drawn attention for directly confronting Pakistan’s misleading narrative on international platforms.
