Khelo India Dialogue 2026: PM Modi To Address Youth On Sports And Nation-Building

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Khelo India Dialogue on Thursday as part of National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, bringing together young people from across the country to discuss sports, leadership, volunteering and nation-building.

PM Modi will address the programme at 11 AM through video conferencing.

Organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the nationwide initiative will connect young participants at two colleges in every district across States and Union Territories.

India is expanding its sporting ambitions while preparing its bid for the 2036 Olympics.

The Khelo India Dialogue will engage young people in discussions on sports, fitness, leadership, volunteering and the Viksit Bharat vision.

A key component, Yuva Samvaad, will focus on five themes. Discussions will explore better sports facilities, coaching, sports science and inclusive participation, along with scientific talent identification and long-term athlete development for the 2036 Olympics.

Participants will discuss ways to develop future youth leaders through governance platforms and MY Bharat volunteering initiatives.

Another theme will focus on equipping young people with future-ready skills, civic awareness and a culture of structured volunteering to contribute to Viksit Bharat.

The fifth theme will address the Nasha Mukt Yuva movement, highlighting sport and peer networks as tools to combat substance abuse.

The campaign will, however, receive support through weekly Jan Bhagidari activities under the Prime Minister’s 100-week nationwide campaign launched on August 2.

The dialogue will be followed by local interactions with youth, volunteers, sportspersons and public representatives, including opportunities to meet leading Indian athletes.

The initiative aims to link sports with youth development and nation-building.
