Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, the teaser of The Vvaan introduces audiences to a world rarely explored in mainstream Hindi commercial cinema.
Rooted in mystery, ancient beliefs and the supernatural, the film promises a visually expansive fantasy folklore spectacle featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in a fresh on-screen pairing.
The teaser, however, centres on a forbidden forest governed by a chilling rule:
Suryast ke baad, Vvaan mein pravesh karna varjit hai.
The film’s visual scale immediately stands out, presenting fantasy folklore on a scale not commonly seen in Bollywood’s commercial space.
Its immersive imagery, striking visuals, and atmospheric soundscape transport viewers into an unfamiliar world designed for the big screen.
Music, however, plays an important role in shaping this experience.
The film’s score adds another dimension to the fantasy setting, combining an immersive quality with a rooted and almost devotional character that gives the spectacle a distinctly Indian identity.
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia bring an intriguing dynamic to the film. Their fresh pairing adds an emotional layer to the larger-than-life world, while their chemistry and screen presence create curiosity about their characters and their relationship within the mysterious setting.
The Vvaan brings together TVF’s Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra and Ektaa Kapoor for a commercial film. The project aims to take Indian folklore into a new cinematic space.
Alongside fantasy and folklore, the film, however, incorporates adventure, mystery and humour to create a family entertainer.
The universe of The Vvaan extends beyond the film. The Legend of Vvaan comic book has already introduced audiences to the broader folklore surrounding its world.
Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, it features Manu Anand as DOP and Visual Director.
The film is, however, produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari. The Vvaan is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on September 25, 2026.
