Ernakulam blast
Multiple blasts claim one life and injuring many in Kerala’s Zamra International Convention & Exhibition Centre, Kalamassery, Ernakulam. According to the sources, the first blast took place at 9 AM. A prayer meeting of Christians was on with nearly 2000 people attending it at the spot when the blasts took place. It was a three day prayer meeting which began on October 27.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has termed this incident as very unfortunate and said that every officials has been deported to Ernakulam including the DGP. Vijayan said that he has already spoken to the DGP to take stock of the situation. “A lot of details need to be obtained post investigations,” said Vijayan.
Meanwhile, union Home Minister Amit Shah has called on the Kerala Chief Minister and asked him to take stock of the situation. Instructions has been sent to the National Investigating Agency (NIA) and the NSG to reach the spot and start enquiring the matter.

The area of the blast site has been cordoned off and security personnel have been deployed at the blast site. Ambulances were also seen ferrying injured persons. However, no one has claimed responsibility of this blast so far.
