Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the chief minister of Delhi, is scheduled to visit Goa on Thursday afternoon. The purpose of his three-day visit is to assess the party’s readiness for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. A party official confirmed this. With Lok Sabha elections round the corner, it has become important for every political party to tighten their shoe lace to run in race with all that they have.
Given that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Kejriwal to appear before it on Thursday in relation to the Delhi excise policy case, his visit is going to get special attention. After he had previously ignored summonses three times, Kejriwal received an ED summons last week for the fourth time. This visit seems like another excuse with which, the Delhi CM wishes to avert the summon from ED.
Talking to PTI, AAP’s Goa unit chief Amit Palekar said, “Kejriwal will be landing in Goa at 4 pm today. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will accompany him.”

Kejriwal is visiting the state for three days. They don’t have any official obligations on Thursday, but he said they will visit the assembly constituencies of Benaulim and Velim in South Goa on Friday. In the Goa assembly, the AAP is represented by two MLAs: Venzy Viegas (Benaulim) and Cruz Silva (Velim).
After his travel to South Goa, Kejriwal is expected to address leaders and volunteers on Friday in Panaji, according to Palekar. He also mentioned that he will assess the party’s readiness for the impending Lok Sabha elections. He stated that Kejriwal and Mann would depart from Goa on Saturday.
