KAUMARACON 2026: Vice President CP Radhakrishnan To Inaugurate AIIA Conference

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, will host KAUMARACON 2026 from October 15 to 17 at its Sarita Vihar campus.

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the international conference on Kaumarabhritya, Ayurveda’s specialised branch of paediatric healthcare.

Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, will attend as guest of honour.

AYUSH Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha and National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Chairperson Dr Maneesha Upendra Kothekar will join the inaugural ceremony.

AIIA Director Prof (Vaidya) PK Prajapati said the institute was conceptualised in 2002 and dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2017. The institution is now entering its tenth year.

AIIA New Delhi operates over 200 inpatient beds and advanced diagnostic facilities. It offers postgraduate and PhD programmes through its affiliation with Delhi University.

The institute holds NAAC A++ accreditation, while its hospital has NABH accreditation. Its research covers academic, intramural, extramural and industry-sponsored projects. It publishes three research journals. AIIA Goa expanded the institutional network in 2022.

The Kaumarabhritya department provides newborn care, NICU services, vaccination, mental healthcare, dermatology and specialised paediatric cancer consultations. It treats around 120-150 children daily. Its KINDER Lab supports paediatric diagnosis and research.

Organising Chairman Prof Dr Rajagopala S expects the conference to promote scientific exchange and professional collaboration.

The third edition follows conferences held in Jodhpur in 2019 and 2023.

Organisers expect over 500 participants, with experts from Brazil, the United States, Germany, Sri Lanka and Nepal joining online.

The programme includes an Ayurinformatics workshop, an oration, six scientific sessions, 12 parallel sessions and over 175 research papers.

AIIA will celebrate its Foundation Day on October 17, highlighting its contributions to Ayurveda education, healthcare and research.
