Karnataka Government Official Brutally Murdered at Home While Husband and Son Were Absent

In a tragic incident, a woman officer employed by the Karnataka government met a gruesome end at her residence in Bengaluru. Pratima, aged 45, held the position of Deputy Director in the Mines and Geology Department of Karnataka. She was discovered stabbed to death at her home in Subramanyapora.

The unfortunate incident occurred on a Saturday night, with reports indicating that Pratima’s driver had dropped her off at her residence, where she had resided for over eight years. The horrifying event transpired at approximately 8:30 pm, a time when her husband and son were away in Thirthahalli.

The shocking discovery of Pratima’s lifeless body was made by her brother, who arrived at her home early on Sunday morning. Worried after unsuccessfully trying to reach her through phone calls the previous night, he promptly contacted the police to report the tragic incident.

Law enforcement authorities have since initiated a formal investigation into the case. They are leaving no stone unturned, considering all possible leads, including the troubling prospect of the involvement of a known attacker. The community is left in shock and mourning, and the police are diligently working to bring clarity to this distressing situation.
