On Tuesday afternoon, Congress’ Karnataka unit chief DK Shivakumar’s aircraft made an emergency landing at the HAL airport when a kite hit the cockpit glass.
The Congress’ Karnataka chief was on his way to Mulbagal in Kolar district for a public meeting.
According to people close to Mr. Shivakumar, the chopper took off from Bengaluru’Jakkur airport but was hit by a kite.

The glass shattered as a result of the crash. The helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing at the HAL airport.
Inside the helicopter, along with DK Shivakumar and the pilot, was a journalist from a Kannada news channel who was interviewing him.
According to the sources, Mr. Shivakumar, the crew, and others in the helicopter are all safe.
