The injured Krishna Gopal Dixit, who lost his wife and daughter at the same time, could not attend the funeral procession from Kanpur Dehat, but reached Bithoor Ghat directly from Hallet Hospital in Kanpur and attended the last rites.

Talking to Bharat Express, Krishna Gopal Dixit said that the culprits should be hanged by the government because if District Magistrate wanted, this incident would not have happened.
