In a scathing attack on the state government, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev unveiled a shocking twist in the ongoing saga of land fraud in Jharkhand. Pratul Dev accused authorities of orchestrating a cover-up operation following the disappearance of crucial land documents from the record room immediately after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed charges. The theft, Dev claimed, amounted to a significant conspiracy to conceal the land scam.
Describing the theft as unbelievable, Pratul Dev revealed that numerous land documents had been stolen from the record room, allegedly by breaking locks on cupboards. He questioned how such an incident could occur within premises consistently guarded by police personnel, especially amid ongoing investigations by the ED into the land fraud.
Demanding swift action from Chief Minister Champai Soren, Pratul Dev urged for a CBI investigation into the matter, warning that failure to do so would cast suspicion over the entire government. He emphasized the gravity of the situation, particularly as the stolen documents about the land fraud probe led by the ED.

Pratul Shah Dev further implicated Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the land scam, pointing to revelations in the ED’s charge sheet linking Soren to the illicit acquisition of 8.86 acres of land in Badhagai. Despite previous denials by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, he asserted that the charge sheet exposed a direct nexus between Soren and the fraudulent land dealings.
According to Pratul Shah Dev, the charge sheet implicated Bhanu Pratap and other officials in a land-grabbing syndicate, with recovered documents indicating Soren’s involvement in the scheme. He highlighted incriminating evidence, including communications between Soren and accomplices discussing plans for constructing a marriage hall on the contested land.

Moreover, Pratul Dev cited testimonies from individuals claiming the land had been in Soren’s possession for over a decade, contradicting assertions of innocence made by the accused. He pointed to the involvement of government officials, including Pintu’s Principal Secretary Uday Shankar, in efforts to verify Soren’s land holdings.
Pratul Dev underscored the urgency of the situation, particularly given the suspicious circumstances surrounding the theft of vital documents from the record room. He accused the government of colluding with white-collar criminals to perpetrate the land fraud and emphasized the need for accountability and justice.
In conclusion, Pratul Dev reiterated the BJP’s call for a thorough investigation by the CBI and vowed to continue exposing corruption within the state government. With mounting evidence implicating high-ranking officials, he urged swift and decisive action to restore public trust and uphold the rule of law.
