Dhananjay Singh at Jaunpur
Yesterday, the streets of Jaunpur were ablaze with emotion as thousands thronged to catch a glimpse of their beloved former MP, Dhananjay Singh. Tears welled in the eyes of many, while chants of “Zindabad” echoed through the air. The atmosphere was electric as people of all ages and genders poured onto the streets, eager to welcome their hero back into their midst.
The occasion marked the return of Dhananjay Singh to Jaunpur after a two-month stint in jail. Sentenced on March 5 in a criminal case, he had been incarcerated until the Allahabad High Court granted him bail on April 27. However, bureaucratic delays saw him transferred from Jaunpur jail to Bareilly Central Jail before his eventual release.
Despite initial disappointment when news spread that Dhananjay Singh had first gone to seek blessings from his spiritual guru in Kainchidham, the mood quickly shifted to one of jubilation as word spread of his arrival at the Jaunpur border after paying homage to Hanuman ji at Mahaveeran Dham.
From Rudhauli Bazaar to Shahganj and beyond, the streets were teeming with supporters eagerly awaiting his return. Shopkeepers abandoned their stalls, and the atmosphere was filled with the sounds of cheers and music as the former MP made his way through the city. At Gurani Madrasa, Dhananjay Singh humbly requested prayers from the gathered crowd, further endearing himself to his supporters.
As evening fell, Dhananjay Singh arrived at his residence to yet another warm reception. Enthusiastic supporters, accompanied by bands and music, gathered to welcome their leader back home. It was a day marked by overwhelming emotions and a reaffirmation of the strong bond between Dhananjay Singh and the people of Jaunpur.
