As Political Parties awaits results with bated breath political enmity claimed life of a polling agent in Bihar. A Janta Dal (United) Polli agent was killed in Nalanda District of Bihar on Monday.
The close associates of deceased has cited political enmity as a reason to murder. The family members of the agent has also pointed fingers on opposition leaders. The victim has been receiving threatening calls ever since he became JD(U)’s polling agent.
The incident happened in the Parbalpur police station area’s Maua village. Anil Kumar, age 62, was assaulted by four to five attackers while traveling to a neighboring market to purchase vegetables, according to his relatives.
Several wounds of stabbing were found on the body.
He worked as a poll worker at the village booth (polling booth number 323) during the Lok Sabha election. On June 1, there was a fight between the opposition and the followers of the ruling party.
“My father went to the market early today to get vegetables, and when he got there, several miscreants ambushed him and stabbed him until he died,” Neetu Kumari, the deceased’s daughter, said.
The raids to capture the culprits is presently in progress, however few of the accused have been identified.
Numerous JD(U) politicians and NDA candidate Kaushalendra Kumar arrived at the Sadar Hospital Bihar Sharif as soon as the information of the murder surfaced.
Citing political rivalry behind the murder, Kaushalendra Kumar said, “It is an extremely painful incident. He was the polling agent of JD(U). Some people had been threatening him for the last few days. Today, when he stepped out of the house he was killed. The murder happened due to poll rivalry.”
