Jaipur Police Arrest Woman Linked To Murder Of Rajput Leader

A woman, Pooja Saini, and her husband, Mahendra Meghwal, associated with a criminal network, have been arrested in connection with the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Two shooters, Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore, along with their accomplice Udham Singh, were apprehended in Chandigarh.

Meghwal provided weapons to Fauji, who stayed in their rented flat in Jagatpura, Jaipur, before carrying out the killing on December 5. Meghwal, alias Sameer, from Kota, is currently on the run. Fauji had arrived in Jaipur on November 28, staying in touch with gangster Rohit Godara through Meghwal.

Godara, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Gogamedi’s killing on Facebook, citing the Karni Sena chief’s alleged support for his enemies. Meghwal had procured multiple pistols and cartridges, providing them to Fauji and Rathore.

On December 5, Meghwal dropped Fauji and Rathore on Ajmer Road, from where they went to Gogamedi’s residence, gaining access through an acquaintance, Naveen Shekhawat. The shooters opened fire, killing Gogamedi and Shekhawat before fleeing.

Fauji, a lance naik in the Army from Haryana’s Mahendragarh, is among those arrested.
