International Yoga Festival 2023 starts today
International Yoga Festival (IYF) 2023 begins today i.e. on March 1, Wednesday in the pilgrimage city of Uttarakhand, Rishikesh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has inaugurated the ‘Yog Festival’ that has been organized from March 1 to March 7.
Apart from learning the nuances of yoga, the festival is set to provide an experience for peace of mind and a healthy body. Along with this, Yoga seekers have gathered to discuss various dimensions of Yoga along with dance, and music.
According to the officials, the Uttarakhand Tourism Department has hosted the International Yoga Festival (IYF) 2023 at India’s yoga and spiritual capital Rishikesh.
The International Yoga Festival has featured a variety of yoga sessions led by Yogacharyas from renowned yoga schools all over the nation, including the Isha Foundation, Kaivalyadhama, Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Art of Living, etc.
During the festival, several free medical sessions and pulse tests by Ayurvedacharyas are organized at the Yoga Festival with consultation sessions by experts for the participants of Yoga Mahotsav. Additionally, the Yoga Mahotsav has also featured cultural performances including evening aarti, classical bhajan sandhya, folk music, folk dance, etc.
A seven-day routine has been fixed for yoga seekers and training given to the seekers on different subjects. Yoga sessions are set and conducted daily in the morning. Apart from this, a drone show is set to be organized.
To ensure the arrival of the maximum number of foreign tourists at the Yoga Festival, the tourism department has announced the incentive programme for tour operators, under which each tour operator is set to receive an incentive amount of 10,000 and a maximum of 5 lahks for booking each foreign tourist.
