Citadel Teaser- Priyanka Chopra drops first teaser of her new web series
Priyanka Chopra’s most awaited web series Citadel’s teaser is here! The Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden starter has been creating quite a commotion among the fans ever since it went on floors in 2021. Now, after months of waiting, the action and spy series, directed by the Russo brothers of Avengers fame, is finally out with its much-expected teaser. Yesterday, Priyanka took to her Instagram space and shared the first look at the Amazon Prime Video show. As soon as she shared the pictures, fans, friends, and followers, expressed their excitement about the upcoming series.
On Monday, Priyanka surprised her fans by sharing the first look at the much-awaited web series Citadel. Now, the actress has treated her fans to the teaser of Citadel, produced by the Russo Brothers. The clip begins with Stanley Tucci saying, “Everything you know is a lie. What you were was a myth. What you were was Citadel.” In the next clip, we see glimpses of Priyanka, Richard Madden and some action-packed scenes. The actress also announced the date of the trailer release. In the caption, the actress noted, “Everything you know is a lie. @citadelonprime trailer tomorrow.”
After Priyanka Chopra shared the post, her husband Nick Jonas commented, “Let’s go!!” while Varun Dhawan, who will star in the Hindi version of Citadel, dropped a bomb emoticon.
According to Vanity Fair, the action-packed spy thriller is set after the fall of the organisation, leaving the two agents attempting to piece together what happened. The catch is that the spies have had their memories wiped. Priyanka’s Nadia Sinh and Richard’s Mason Kane are Citadel colleagues who have a complicated history together. All the characters have a duality in their characteristics, given their recent memory loss.
The first season of Citadel is just the first of many series to come. Priyanka’s Nadia will be joining her Indian co-stars after the events of the first season. Also starring Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, the first two episodes of Citadel are set to stream on Prime Video from April 28.
Produced by the Russo brothers, the science fiction drama series is being termed as the ‘first of its kind global-event series’. Earlier in an interview, Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke announced that Citadel will have a spin-off series set in India, Mexico, and Italy. The Indian instalment will feature actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. While Citadel’s release date is not yet announced, it is expected to premiere sometime later this year on Prime Video. The show has been produced by Gozie AGBO, Midnight Radio, and Amazon Studios.
