International Conference On Peace & Harmony To Be Held At World Peace Centre

The World Peace Centre will host an international conference on ‘World Peace through Peace Education’ on Sunday, August 31, under the guidance of Jain Acharya Lokesh, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti.

The event, scheduled to begin at 10 AM, aims to highlight the role of peace education in promoting global stability and cooperation.

Several eminent figures will address the conference, including Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, Delhi’s Culture Minister Kapil Mishra, senior journalist Upendrra Rai, and Dr Anurag Mairal, professor at Stanford University.

Industrialist Nirmal Kumar Minda and philanthropist Dr Alok Drolia are also among the invited speakers.

In addition, the conference will be joined by leading social worker Nirmal Kumar Minda, Park Hospital Group Chairman Dr Ajit Gupta, and Dr Alok Droliya, head of Vishwa Shanti Kendra. Organisers from Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and associates of the World Peace Centre are making preparations to ensure the event’s success.

Core of Peace Education

Speaking ahead of the event, World Peace Ambassador Acharya Lokesh explained that the conference seeks to initiate structured peace education courses across universities and schools.

“Peace education is a valuable tool for global harmony. It combines the ancient practices of meditation and yoga with modern science to provide a holistic framework for addressing conflict and building understanding,” he said.

Acharya Lokesh, a noted expert in meditation, yoga and peace philosophy, has developed a curriculum for peace education after extensive research and testing. He believes that spreading this course through academic institutions will strengthen the foundations of peace in society.

The conference will provide a platform to discuss the dimensions of peace education and its potential to foster dialogue among cultures.

According to organisers, the programme will serve as a step towards expanding awareness of non-violence, compassion, and mutual respect in a rapidly changing world.

The gathering reflects Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti’s mission to promote peace and harmony at the global level through education, dialogue, and collective action.
