India’s World Champion Captains Come Together At United In Triumph Event In Mumbai

A special event in Mumbai on Monday night honoured Indian cricket’s world champions, symbols of sacrifice, struggle and unbreakable willpower.

The second edition of the United in Triumph programme brought together three of Indian cricket’s most prominent leaders on a single stage.

Indian men’s team captain Rohit Sharma, women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and Indian visually impaired women’s cricket team captain Deepika TC were seen together at the event. The programme brought the three captains on a single stage. Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani hosted the event.

Addressing the gathering, Nita Ambani said the honour was not limited to the players alone. She said it belonged to every Indian who had shared the journey of victory and struggle with these teams.

“On behalf of every Indian, we are honouring the World Cup champions tonight. These players have given the nation moments to be proud of,” she said.

The highlight of the evening was a rare and historic frame that captured the captains of three world champion teams together. The image reflected not just cricketing success but also stories of grit, hard work and determination.

Deepika TC’s journey, in particular, stood out as a source of inspiration. She overcame numerous challenges to represent India with distinction on the international stage.
