“Indian Diaspora in Dubai’s Heartfelt Greeting to PM Modi: ‘Har Har Modi’ and ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar'”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arriving in Dubai on Thursday night,  will be attending the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) Summit. On Friday, December 1, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to speak at the United Nations World Climate Action Summit’s opening session in the United Arab Emirates.

In addition, he will take part in the three high-level side events, two of which India will co-host. when he got here. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, welcomed Prime Minister Modi.

As the Indian diaspora waited outside his hotel with loud screams of “Abki Baar Modi Sarkar,” “Abki Baar 400 Paar,” and “Har Har Modi,” they also gave the Indian prime minister a hearty welcome.

They also chanted “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in addition to singing “Saare Jahan Se Achha.”

Following his arrival in Dubai, Prime Minister Modi posted on social media, expressing his excitement for the Summit’s proceedings, which are geared toward improving the globe.

Meetings in bilingual on PM Modi’s agenda

Prime Minister Modi is anticipated to have one-on-one meetings with a few of the summit’s participants, such as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Israeli President Isaac Herzog, and the recently elected President of the Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu, while he is in Dubai.

An earlier video message on X provided a summary of PM Modi’s jam-packed December 1 schedule, according to an official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs.

The World Climate Action Summit is the high-level portion of COP28, according to MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, who also mentioned that it will begin in the morning with the high-level climate event’s opening ceremonies.

“The speech will be given by the prime minister. However, the PM will later co-host an event with the UAE that will examine green credits, a project in which the PM has a personal stake, following his attendance at a special session organized by the UAE on reforming climate financing.

Bagchi went on to say that a large number of bilaterals will occur throughout the day in this course.

Regarding the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the United Arab Emirates, invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Dubai. In order to explore strategies for lowering greenhouse gas emissions and successfully addressing climate change, a number of other international leaders are scheduled to attend the climate action summit, a high-level component of the COP28.

The prime minister stated in his statement that the COP28 will offer a chance to assess the advancements made possible by the Paris Agreement and choose the direction of future climate action.

“The Global South advocated for the need for climate action based on the principles of equity, climate justice, and common but differentiated responsibilities, as well as a greater focus on adaptation at the Voice of Global South Summit convened by India,” Modi stated.

It is critical that the developing world’s initiatives receive sufficient funding for climate change adaptation as well as technological transfer. To attain sustainable development, they need to have fair access to carbon and development space, he stated.

Regarding climate action, the prime minister pointed out that India has acted on its commitments.

“Our accomplishments in a variety of fields, including afforestation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy conservation, and Mission LiFE, are evidence of our people’s dedication to the environment,” the speaker stated.

Modi expressed his excitement about attending special events, such as those on green credit initiatives and climate finance.
