Indian Army troops reportedly engaged a Pakistani drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday. Officials disclosed that the incident occurred late Sunday night when the drone ventured into Indian territory but swiftly retreated to the Pakistan side after being fired upon by Indian forces.
The sighting of the enemy drone was detected in the Nar Mankote region of Mendhar, prompting Indian troops to respond by firing at least three shots to deter its advance.

Despite the attempted interception, the drone managed to evade capture and returned to Pakistani territory, evading further confrontation with Indian forces. Currently, a search operation is underway in the area to ascertain any potential threats or activities.
This incident follows recent efforts by the Jammu and Kashmir police to combat security threats in the region, as evidenced by their announcement of a cash reward. The situation underscores the ongoing vigilance and preparedness of Indian security forces along the LoC to safeguard territorial integrity and prevent any unauthorized incursions.
