Independence Day 2023: World’s Highest Battle Site Echoed With Slogans Of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’

Today, the whole country is immersed in the celebration of Independence Day. In this sequence, the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battlefield, echoed the slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai with the wave of the tricolor on the 77th Independence Day. Along with hoisting the tricolor at every forward post of the glacier, soldiers patrolled on snow scooters while raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

Signal to enemies to stay within limits

On Tuesday, in every forward area from Jammu to Ladakh, the border guards reaffirmed their commitment to making all sacrifices necessary for the country on Independence Day. The security troops in the border regions joyfully hoisting the tricolor sent the enemy a strong message to respect their boundaries. The soldiers were congratulated on Independence Day by Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, Army Commander of the Northern Command of the Army, which is in charge of maintaining security in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The army and the border road also handed the citizens several gifts on Independence Day. A new key route, Likaru-Mig La-Phukche in Ladakh, is being built by the Border Roads Organisation in honor of the nation’s 77th Independence Day. This road, which will be constructed in Ladakh at a height of 19400 feet, will be higher than Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world.

Bridge gifted to the people of Danna

On the other hand, the Army gave the residents of Danna, the final village along the Machhal Nala LoC in Kashmir, a 115-foot-long bridge on Independence Day. Mian Gul Khan, a veteran of the 1971 war, cut the ribbon to officially open the bridge, which is dedicated to Veer Chakra recipient and martyr Major Bhagat Singh.
