During the inauguration, Swami Abhishek Brahmachari emphasized the crucial role of the Vedas in preserving the nation’s cultural and spiritual heritage. He stated that India’s future depends on the preservation of its ancient scriptures and called upon the youth to step forward with a commitment to safeguarding Indian culture and civilization. He further added that the Sant Samaj must take an active role in training young people, especially in rural areas, to ensure the continuity of these traditions.

Inaugural Session of Regional Veda Conference

Rohit Kumar Singh, National Convenor of Yuva Chetna, highlighted the importance of opening Veda Vidyalayas in every village to safeguard Bengal’s cultural roots. He passionately spoke about the current state of the region, noting the stark contrast between the treatment of Indian citizens in Bangladesh and those who have illegally entered Bengal. He also criticized the historical attacks on India’s education system by the Mughals and British and lamented the lack of efforts to restore it after independence.

Singh expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing the New Education Policy in 2020, a move he believes will help revive India’s education system and cultural values. He called for unity in the face of those opposed to Sanatan Dharma and urged the audience to stand together in defence of their heritage.

The conference, attended by thousands, saw a large gathering of spiritual leaders, intellectuals, and youth, all united in their mission to promote Vedic knowledge and values. The event underscored the growing recognition of India’s ancient wisdom in the contemporary world and the need for concerted efforts to preserve it for future generations.
