Action Adopted Against accused Of Rape In Ayodhya Justified: Mayawati

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Yogi Adityanath, has taken a strong stance against SP leader Moeed Khan, who faces allegations of gang rape involving a minor in Ayodhya district. Authorities demolished Khan’s illegal construction with a bulldozer on Saturday.

Mayawati Supports Government Action

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President Mayawati has endorsed the government’s action. In a post on X, she declared the demolition justified. However, she questioned the Samajwadi Party’s call for a DNA test of the accused, demanding the SP clarify how many DNA tests were conducted during their administration. Mayawati also voiced concerns about rising crime and law and order issues, urging the government to address these problems beyond political and caste considerations.

Akhilesh Yadav Calls for DNA Test

Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav has called for a DNA test of the accused. In a post on X, Yadav emphasized that justice should be pursued through scientific means rather than political allegations. He stated that if the accusations prove false after a DNA test, those responsible for wrongful accusations should face consequences.

Local MP Awadhesh Prasad Demands Investigation

Local SP MP Awadhesh Prasad condemned the incident as painful and shameful. He urged a thorough investigation to uncover the truth and called for strict action against those found guilty. Prasad criticized the BJP for politicizing the issue and stressed the need for support for the victim, including financial assistance. He requested that politics be set aside in favor of justice and fair treatment for all involved.
