Home Minister Amit Shah Hails Anti-Naxal Success; Pledges Continued Drive For Peace

Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the success of recent anti-Naxal operations in Chhattisgarh and expressed his desire to personally meet the courageous soldiers behind the victories.

In a statement posted on his official X handle, Amit Shah commended the officers for their dedication and termed their efforts as historic.

He confirmed plans to visit Chhattisgarh soon to honour the frontline personnel.

HM Amit Shah reaffirmed that the government’s efforts go beyond battlefield victories.

He emphasised that the anti-Naxal campaign represents a broader assertion of central authority and reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to restoring peace and stability in affected regions.

Amit Shah Reiterates 2026 Deadline To End Naxalism

Speaking at the ‘Bastar Pandum’ festival in April, HM Shah made a firm declaration, the government aims to eliminate the Naxal threat by March 2026.

He stated that Naxals will not be allowed to hinder the development of tribal communities in the Bastar region.

Home Minister Shah urged militants to surrender, saying armed resistance is futile and brings no joy to anyone.

Olive Branch To Insurgents: Surrender And Reintegrate

Home Minister assured that surrendered insurgents would receive full protection and support from both the Union and State governments.

He invited militants to join the mainstream and contribute to nation-building.

The Home Minister made it clear that those persisting in violence would face decisive action from security forces.

Focus on Infrastructure And Development In Bastar: Amit Shah

Emphasising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, HM Shah pledged to transform Bastar through comprehensive development in the next five years.

He highlighted the region’s half-century-long stagnation and stressed the importance of education, healthcare, identification, and welfare access for every citizen.
