Lucknow: On the occasion of the vibrant festival of colors, Holi, the state government, under the directive of Chief Minister Yogi, is committed to providing uninterrupted and high-quality electricity to the people of Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Ashish Goyal, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL), has instructed all five disciplines to ensure seamless power supply without any disruptions or tripping.
During this festive period, the entire state will enjoy a 24-hour electricity supply, continuing the government’s previous successes during festivals such as Dussehra, Navratri, Diwali, and the consecration of Shri Ramlala Vigraha in Ayodhya. Notably, the government has set a record by ensuring uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours in rural areas, Nagar Panchayat headquarters, and Tehsils across all 75 districts of the state.
Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal emphasized the significance of Holi and the government’s commitment to illuminate every corner of the state. This initiative will not only benefit the public but also boost business activities. He instructed departmental officials to take necessary measures to guarantee uninterrupted electricity for everyone during the festival.
Distribution officers have been specifically tasked with ensuring uninterrupted power supply throughout the festival period. Managing directors, chief engineers, and officials of the Electricity Corporation have been directed to maintain the electricity supply according to the specified schedule even after Holi.
In rural areas, a supply of 18 hours, 21.30 hours for Nagar Panchayat headquarters and Tehsil headquarters, and 24 hours for district headquarters has been set. Additionally, 20 hours of electricity supply have been designated for rural areas in all seven districts of Bundelkhand. The UPPCL is diligently working to provide a 24-hour power supply across all regions, especially during festive occasions.
