Union Home Minister Amit Shah has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘unparalleled seva’, stating that his decades of public service have shaped a distinct era in India’s political and developmental journey.
Shah’s remarks followed PM Modi achieving a historic milestone of completing 8,931 days in office, surpassing the record of Pawan Kumar Chamling, who served 8,930 days.
The tenure includes Prime Minister Modi’s leadership as Gujarat Chief Minister and later as Prime Minister.
Describing the achievement as a landmark rooted in dedication and unwavering commitment, Shah said the milestone reflects exceptional public trust and a legacy built on continuous service.
He emphasised that PM Modi’s leadership has empowered the poor, strengthened development, and elevated India’s global standing.
In a message on X, Shah noted that Modi’s governance has transformed India significantly, giving voice to the marginalised and setting new benchmarks across sectors. He added that such a transformation required sustained effort over decades, highlighting that Modi has served the nation without a holiday for over 24 years.
HM Shah further attributed Prime Minister Modi’s repeated electoral success, three terms as Gujarat Chief Minister and three as Prime Minister—to growing public trust and widespread support. He said the people’s confidence has strengthened with each passing year.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also praised PM Modi’s tenure, describing it as a testament to integrity, tireless dedication, and nation-first governance. He termed the journey an inspiring example of leadership anchored in trust and service.
