Prayagraj: On Monday Allahabad High Court heard the case of jailed SP leader Azam Khan. The state government filed its reply in the court regarding the recovery of cleaning machine from Jauhar University. After hearing the pleadings from both the sides the court reserved the decision.
The single bench of Justice Samit Gopal of the High Court has reserved the decision. Now the court will give its decision in this case. Earlier Rampur MP-MLA Session Court had rejected the bail plea of Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam in the case of recovery of municipal cleaning machine from Jauhar University.
Azam Khan and Abdullah have challenged the decision of the Rampur court and filed a bail petition in the Allahabad High Court. On Thursday, this matter came up in the High Court listing. In such a situation, the case can be heard.

On the information of Salim and Anwar, close to former SP MLA Abdullah Azam, Rampur police recovered the municipal road cleaner machine and its cut parts from Jauhar University on 19 September 2022. This machine was buried in the university campus.
On the complaint of social activist Walker Ali Khan, an FIR was filed against Azam Khan, his sons Abdullah Azam, Anwar and Salim. This case was registered in Rampur’s Kotwali police station. Anwar and Salim, the accused named in this case of Rampur Nagar Palika, have got bail. However, Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam are still waiting for it.
