In preparation for the Basant Panchami bathing festival at the Maha Kumbh, health services in the fairgrounds have been significantly enhanced.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, medical teams have been on the ground since Thursday, ensuring comprehensive healthcare arrangements for devotees.
The authorities have set up 23 hospitals with 360 beds to cater to the needs of the pilgrims.
A special medical team conducted a detailed inspection of the fairgrounds to evaluate these facilities.
Key medical officials, including Medical Nodal Officer Umakant Sanyal, Chief Medical Superintendent of Central Hospital Dr. Manoj Kaushik, Co-Nodal Medical Officer Dr. Ram Singh, and Maha Kumbh Mela Nodal Medical Officer Dr. Gaurav Dubey, have reviewed ambulance deployment and emergency services to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
The Central Hospital and other medical units are operating effectively, providing care for everything from minor injuries to critical conditions.
Dr. Gaurav Dubey stated that medical teams are responding to emergencies promptly, with ambulances and health services fully operational, even under challenging circumstances.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made the safety and well-being of devotees a top priority.
A robust healthcare framework has established, including a 100-bed state-of-the-art Central Hospital, two 25-bed sub-central hospitals, eight 20-bed sector hospitals, and two 20-bed infectious disease hospitals.
In addition, 10 first-aid posts with one bed each have set up across the site to provide immediate assistance to those in need.
