Haryana CM Khattar Dismisses Opposition’s Unemployment Claims as ‘Political Propaganda’

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has strongly refuted opposition claims regarding unemployment in the state, dismissing them as “political propaganda.” Responding to varying figures presented by opposition leaders, Khattar asserted that the actual unemployment rate is around 8.5 percent, contradicting assertions of up to 34 percent.

Emphasizing Haryana’s strides in ease of doing business, Khattar declared the state as a preferred investment destination. He highlighted the government’s success in generating employment opportunities for 30 lakh people over the past nine-and-a-half years. Additionally, efforts have been made to promote self-employment by providing loans through banks.

Khattar made these statements during the inauguration and foundation stone laying for 153 projects valued at Rs 2,024 crore. These initiatives, comprising 76 inaugurated projects worth Rs 686 crore and 77 projects with a combined value of Rs 1,338 crore, were unveiled at a state-level function conducted via video conferencing at the Lala Lajpat Rai Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Hisar district.

Reflecting on the commitment made in 2014 for comprehensive development under the vision of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek,’ Khattar reiterated the focus on equitable development tailored to the specific needs of each region. He cited the establishment of 70 new colleges within a 20-kilometer radius, addressing demand and mapping.

The chief minister also highlighted systemic changes to combat corruption, especially in recruitment and transfer processes, leading to increased transparency. Citizens now benefit from various schemes and facilities at their doorstep, marking a significant governance shift.

Khattar underscored the crucial role of robust infrastructure in a state’s economic vitality, noting continuous efforts to strengthen Haryana’s infrastructure. He emphasized equal development in all sectors and significant progress in improving and constructing roads. With the ongoing construction of Haryana’s airport in Hisar, Khattar anticipates all-round development in the area, fostering industrial growth.

In summary, Chief Minister Khattar defended the government’s record on employment, highlighted developmental achievements, and outlined the vision for inclusive growth in Haryana.
