₹195 Crore Heroin Seizure

Last year on September 14, the Gujarat ATS seized approximately ₹195 crore worth of heroin from a Pakistani vessel named Al Tayyasa near the Jafrabad Port. As a result, ATS arrested six Pakistani citizens as well. The investigation revealed a plan to smuggle the heroin into Delhi and Punjab. The network was being operated by two traffickers.

ATS’s Arrests

During the Gujarat ATS investigation, it was revealed that two traffickers in Delhi were connected to the seized heroin. They were arrested, and it was further revealed that a network involved in narcotic substances was being operated by these two traffickers. A Nigerian national was also part of this network and was already incarcerated in a Punjab jail.

Bhola’s Name Takes Center Stage

In 2021, Gujarat Police discovered a drug seizure operation in Morbi, during which the name of shooter Bhola, also known as Bharat Bhushan, surfaced. Bhola was associated with the gang of Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster. Sadly, Bhola has passed away in custody recently. There were indications that he managed a drug network in Punjab even while incarcerated.
