The government has agreed to allocate a memorial site dedicated to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The decision followed a formal request from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge earlier today.
Home Minister Amit Shah promptly informed Kharge and Dr. Singh’s family about the government’s approval after a Cabinet meeting. He assured them that the necessary steps for space allocation would be taken soon.
However, Shah clarified that cremation and other formalities could proceed without delay. He explained that a trust must first be established before the memorial space can be officially allocated.
