‘Gen Z Trusts PM Modi’: Mohan Majhi Hails ABVP’s Odisha Poll Victory

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday congratulated the winners of student union elections held across the state on Thursday.

Majhi wished the winners success and urged them to uphold students’ trust, strengthen campus democracy and build a ‘Viksit Odisha’. He accused the previous Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government of suspending student polls for political gain and silencing students’ democratic voices.

CM Majhi said his government had fulfilled its promise by restoring student elections and reviving democracy on campuses. He congratulated ABVP on its historic victory, saying Gen Z trusted PM Modi.

“This mandate reflects the confidence and trust of Gen Z on Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi ji,” the Chief Minister wrote on X.

Majhi expressed confidence that ABVP would promote knowledge, character and unity. He urged the group to respect every student’s voice and maintain a healthy campus environment.

Odisha Chief Minister wished the winners success and encouraged them to contribute to nation-building and a ‘Viksit Odisha’.

Leader of Opposition and BJD President Naveen Patnaik congratulated the winners. He said their victory reflected the unity and dedication of Odisha’s youth.

Patnaik praised BJD and BCJD leaders who contested the polls. He accused the BJP government of using unfair means to win the Student Parliament elections.

Patnaik urged unity to protect campus academics and secure a brighter future for students.
