Gang Imvolved In Kidnapping For Ransom Is Busted By Delhi Police IGI Airport

Three accused persons, namely
1. Praveen Kumar, S/o Sh. Naresh Kumar, R/o Mundehla Khurd, Nazafgarh, New Delhi, age 27 years,

2. Vikas, S/o Sh. Pyare Lal, R/o Village Kharman, Tehsil-Bahadurgarh, Distt.-Jhajjar, Haryana, age 26 years and

3. Harphool Singh @ Sonu, S/o Sh. Balwan Singh R/o Gali No.3 Kashmiri colony, Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana, age 33 years, has been arrested by the Delhi Police IGI Airport staff for kidnapping a wholesale fruit seller, namely Babloo Yadav, S/o Sh. Nandlal Yadav, R/o Samastipur, Bihar, and receiving a ransom amount of Rs. 2,76,999/- from his relatives.

What is the incident?

On September 22, 2023, a complaint was received in PS IGI Airport that the complainant, namely Babloo Yadav, S/o Sh. Nandlal Yadav, R/o Samastipur, Bihar, came to Delhi IGI Airport, T-2, on September 20, 2023, from Bagdogra Airport to purchase apples wholesale from Azadpur Mandi, Delhi. There he met his friend, namely Ajay, with whom he was already acquainted in Siliuri, Assam. In the complaint, he stated that he works at a fruit market in Siliguri, Assam, where he met Ajay, who came to visit Siliguri last year. Both of them got acquainted with each other since then, and Ajay told him to meet him in Delhi whenever he made a visit to Delhi.

On September 20, when the complainant reached Delhi, he was picked up from Terminal 2 by a taxi that was sent by Ajay, and he was dropped off at Sector-21, Dwarka, from where Ajay took him to some isolated flat, where one associate of Ajay was already present. On 9.21.23, four more associates of Ajay came to the flat, and they forcibly took him to an isolated dairy firm in Bahadurgarh by car. After that, they threatened to kill him and demanded ransom money to set him free. He was forced to call his relatives to send money through five different UPI IDs. They forcefully got a ransom of Rs. 2,76,999 from his relatives. After getting ransom money, at about 3:50 p.m. on September 22, 2023, they dropped him near Bahadurgarh City Metro Station and also warned him not to complain to police about the incident.

INTERROGATION

All three accused persons were thoroughly interrogated, during which they revealed that Harphool Singh, S/o Balwan Singh, is the master behind the hatching kidnapping plan with the association of the accused persons, namely Ajay and others, for making quick money.

RECOVERY

1. One car was used in the kidnapping.
Further investigation is in progress, and the police officers involved in nabbing the accused persons are being suitably rewarded.
