G20 Summit: ‘India’s First Address As A Developed Nation’ Says Bharat Express Chairman Upendra Rai At ‘India Pavilion’

G20 Summit 2023: Bharat Express Chairman Upendra Rai arrived at the ‘India Pavilion’ in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, for the G20 Summit. On the second and final day of the summit, Upendra Rai, the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Bharat Express, discussed various issues at the G20 Summit.

Upendra Rai stated, “For the first time, India has spoken as a developed nation on the global stage, not just a developing one. The world has paid close attention to India’s voice. These countries (G20 nations) contribute 85% of the world’s economy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is undoubtedly a global leader, and through this summit, he has brought G20 nations onto one platform, which is commendable.”

Senior journalist Upendra Rai said, “Prime Minister Modi has attempted to showcase India’s spiritual strength to the entire world. India’s religion is ancient, dating back 10-11 thousand years, while Jewish religion is 3 thousand years old, Christianity is 1900 years old, and Islam is relatively new (1400 years old). India has talked about spirituality, where these Western religions stop at heaven and hell, India goes beyond.”

Upendra Rai remarked, “The tradition of Ram-Krishna and the traditions of Buddha and Mahavira in India speak of liberation and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family). PM Modi talks about inclusive development. India has declared for the first time before the world that we are not a developing nation but a developed one. With the maturity and strength that PM Modi has displayed in his diplomacy, India has become a part of the African Union, India has claimed to be 21 while everyone else is at 20.”

He added, “From the land of Gujarat, where Mahatma Gandhi hailed, comes Prime Minister Modi. Recently, in the BRICS Summit, PM Modi visited Africa, and India’s partnership there, with people from various regions of Gujarat residing in Africa, contributes significantly to Africa’s economy. So, there is a unique connection between Africa and Gujarat as well.”
